Adult Cartoons You Must Register Before You Can Post

Ever since Fritz the Cat came out, there has been a notification that cartoons weren't only for children. Back in the 30's and 40's, many of those cartoons had innuendos in it.
Now fast forward to today, we have Adult Swim, South Park, and Family Guy.
What other Adult or Teen cartoons are out there?

Another Hanna-Barbera cartoon, Huckleberry Hound, found a large adult audience when it first aired in 1958, although it was not marketed toward adults.

Research indicated that many viewers were adults. In fact, some bars were said to close when The Huckleberry Hound Show aired on Thursday nights!

"Wait Till Your Father Gets Home" was strictly for adults, too. But at age ten/eleven, I didn't know that.Blush

Re: Adult Cartoons [In reply to] You Must Register Before You Can Post

The Oblongs (2001) was another prime time animated series aimed at adults. In fact, the series, which was based loosely on the book Creepy Susie by Angus Oblong was actually lighter than the show's creator intended it to be. There was 1 episode of the series dealing with Creepy Susie's birthday on October 31st which was planned, but was never made. The TV series had to be toned down somewhat for a network prime time audience. Rumors have been circulating that Angus Oblong wants to produce new episodes of The Oblongs for Adult Swim in which the content would be closer to his original vision.

Re: Adult Cartoons [In reply to] You Must Register Before You Can Post

Has any cartoon that has been marketed as an adult cartoon ever been worth a crap? Sure, adult cartoons and good adult cartoons have been around for a long time but I can't think of 1 that's been advertised as such that was any good. The Simpsons got bad as soon as they acknowledged that it was for adults. Meanwhile, South Park keeps right on rolling.
