Check out the first trailer for Disney's next animated feature- due later this year for the holidays- Wreck-It Ralph.
I think the trailer looks pretty good, but I'm especially looking forward to seeing how the cameos are handled. I hope they stay in the real world of past arcade games instead of using fictitious games. Unfortunately, from some parts of the trailer, it looks like they have indeed gone the fictitious game route. Anyway, check it out and post what you think.

I see Wreck-It Ralph as sort of the Who Framed Roger Rabbit? of the video game genre. The other characters are there for cameos, but the main plot revolves around original characters. I don't mind that, and I'm sure one reason Disney opted to go with new characters as the protagonists instead of established game characters is so they can freely franchise them as they wish should the movie be successful without having to get permission from any respective game studios.
The trailer was pretty funny, the only thing I found strange about it was the scene where Ralph is with other game villains. I get M. Bison (of Street Fighter) being there, but why Zangief? He wasn't a villain in the games, just another participant in the tournament. 'Gief was only portrayed as a baddie in the Jean-Claude Van Damme live-action SF movie and the USA Network animated series based on that movie.
Pity the producers couldn't get Dr. Wily (from Rockman/Mega Man) for that scene like they wanted.

It caught my boyfriend's interest, I'm still unsure--although it does look kind of cute.
