getting a distribution company You Must Register Before You Can Post

Ok group, i had good luck here before...so here goes another newbee questionBlush

How does one get the attention of distribution companies?
for an animated for television series?
We have a date in California for getting the series seen, but the boss thinks if we walk in with a letter of intent to distribute, then it would give us more leverage for commitment.
Any suggestions?Wink

Re: getting a distribution company [In reply to] You Must Register Before You Can Post

Assuming that you have a Web site, I'd strongly suggest that you post a showreel or teaser on it. (Not necessarily the whole episode!).

That way, when you get in touch with a distribution company, you can simply refer to your site for an example of your work. This saves the time and trouble of making a hard copy and sending it to your prospect, where it could be "lost" in the incoming mail.

Many studios (and distributors!) post teaser videos of series on their sites.

Smile Thanks So Much you always seem to get back to me and I truly appreciate your input. Will get this info to the boss.
