It's the Minions from "Despicable Me" but I never saw the shorts so I didn't know they liked bananas...

Re: Cartoon Character Game [In reply to]

Correct, it is the Minions!

They had a few shorts that were only on the Blu-Ray version. One of which showed how much they loved bananas.

Some had one eye and others had two.

Gru was their boss and they were loyal to him.

They helped him steal the moon.

Got one.

1. My siblings and I are born during a bitter cold streak.

2. I am unknowingly left behind.

3. I seek out warmth when the lantern goes out.

OK, I got one now.

The writer of this cartoon also did my voice.

I go through a lot of trouble to find dinner for my daughter.

I also go through a lot of pain.

1. I am not a parrot.

2. I do have a parrot's name though.

3. There's no explanation for how I managed to survive extinction.

I went through a long list of parrot names, and none of them seemed right for a prehistoric animal.

More clues.

4. It's a very typical/cliche name for a parrot.

5. I am the morale and mascot for my crew.

6. I can easily be hidden in my owner's beard.

Yep, Polly the dodo from Pirates! Band of Misfits.

1. Rather self explanitory--although the pirates all think Polly is a parrot at first.

2. Polly is a typical parrot name.

3. Dodos are extinct--however Polly is a living exception.

4. Polly seems to be the most cliche name one can give a parrot.

5. Polly boosts her crew's morale and is their pride and joy.

6. The Pirate Captain easily hides Polly in his beard before showing her off at the Scientist competition.

Re: Cartoon Character Game [In reply to]

Thanks again, Glowworm. Here's one that's probably forgotten, but deserves a post.

I'm the arrogant one of my group, as my name implies.

I contend with an alien supervillain who has the same objective as me and my friends.

I need to combine with my bros in order to foil the schemes of the antagonist.

Re: Cartoon Character Game [In reply to]

These will be the last three clues.

My adventures begin when a small piece of the objective lands in my home country.

In my own personal episode, I become a movie star.

At one point, I'm subjected to my enemy's mind control powers--just like the various people I meet during the course of the journey.

Re: Cartoon Character Game [In reply to]

First my apologies for deciding on such a difficult character.

The answer is Chesty, from Pandamonium.

Of the three pandas, he was the arrogant one. Chesty's a synonym for arrogant.

He, his fellow pandas, and the human teenagers Peter and Peggy Darrow, contend with the alien supervillain Mondragorr for the pieces of the Pyramid of Power, which were scattered throughout the world, and even on the moon when it broke while Mondragorr attempted to steal it in a plot to rule the universe.

Whenever Mondragorr caused a natural disaster, or created a monster, Chesty, Timothy, and Algernon combined to form Poppapanda, a supernatural entity that could restore order.

The adventures began in Tibet, where a piece of the pyramid landed near the pandas. Peter and Peggy traced it there, and met their new allies.

In "Chesty's Story," Chesty briefly became a movie star. To ensure that the pandas would break up for good, Mondragorr duped Chesty into thinking he had total control over the animals in his film. In truth, Mondragorr was behind the mind control.

And in the episode, "Prehistoric Hysterics," Mondragorr hypnotized Chesty into bringing him the pyramid pieces. He'd used this power throughout the series on the people, and sometimes animals the good guys met along the way.

So I get another turn. Hopefully, this one will be much easier.

I'm temperamental with a capital T.

On my island, I rule over everything, including soccer games.

I'll get those humans for stealing something of mine!

Here come the last three clues:

Forget Simba. I'm the first official lion king from my studio.

My roar can blow the feathers off a bird.

I discover the human intruders have replaced my royal star with a referee's whistle.

Re: Cartoon Character Game [In reply to]

Yes! Kris, you get a gold medal for your answer.

King Leonidas was a very temperamental tyrant.

On the island of Naboomboo, he ruled over everything. He even insisted on playing soccer his own way.

He chased after Miss Price and company for stealing the Star Of Astoroth, but the resourcefull Miss Price turned him into a rabbit before he could lay a paw on them.

He was the first official lion king from Disney, not just before Simba, but also before Prince John and King Richard from Robin Hood.

His roar was powerful enough to blow the feathers off the Secretary Bird.

He discovered the "royal star" was missing when Secretary Bird noticed the referee's whistle around his neck.

All yours, Kris.Smile

Re: Cartoon Character Game [In reply to]

Okily dokily. Here's the next character.

1. The film I'm from is yet another adaptation of a classic novel. By the way, the source novel is one of the most adapted into other media stories with at least 50 movies so far (but by no means is it the most adapted, though).

2. I'm voiced by a two time Academy award winner.

3. The last time my film was adapted by the same studio, my role was filled but someone much shorter and much greener than myself.
