Voice Actors: So You Want To Be A VA???

I found this wonderful article written by a writer and voice director named Mark Evanier about becoming a professional voice actor. As he says on his site:

I'd love to be a voice actor, but mostly for animes. Being a cartoon voice actor wouldn't be bad either, I'm just saying. So that's all I've got to do? Well, here's looking at ya from the other side.

I just sent off some parts for the latest episode of Toad Rage, so I just missed the chance to look at this advice. I will look at it now, so I can "learn" from my mistakes.

comic con has done panels & tryouts for VAs. they may do the same this year.

I really want to be a Voice Actor because I can range from Snagglepuss to Meatwad and I can do some other 'Interesting' voices.

I've got amazing range. I can imitate the British version of Gex (Deep Cover Gecko, Jason Kreis), then switch over to Blue from "Blue's Clues".
