    Other Side Of Maleficent

    I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Sometime this year, I'm thinking of visiting a friend of mine who lives and works in New York City. I thought of going with at least one friend. I don't want to go by myself... even if I get a car, I can't drive it out of my city limits!

    If I go around the Holidays, I'd like to spend New Year's Eve at Times Square. If I go another weekend, I'd like to try and get a ticket to see SNL.

    Also... I should ask my friend where in New York he lives at.

    I'll do that... I know with New York, nothing really is cheap. The price I pay for a $20 meal... that's probably cheap for New York. But we'll see how things go..

    I won't need the snow, all I need is to find-out if anyone will take me, when my friend wants to see me, and if I go by myself...ride the Greyhound, Amtrak, or if Megabus can take me there...I may have to transfer!

    Actually...

    If I do go to NYC, maybe we can have a BCDB get-together. I wanted to do a meet-up with many of the members here and since NYC is close to Cleveland...give or take 9 hours...it can be a good spot to meet-up...and I'll tell my friend as well...maybe get his brothers to go as well.
