You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

    Hello everyone,,
For a while now, Cartoon Network has been airing the Looney Tunes in the mornings. I was wondering what everyones opinion is on the choice of shorts. For me, it's a hit/miss. Most of the shorts are from the mid 1950s to 60s and they show a lot of RR/Wile. It seems seldom to see a short from the 1940s which is a shame since most of my favorites are from that time period. Usually I can only watch the first part of the hour slot, so the second half may have more from the 40s and I just miss them.

So anyway, what do you all think? Do you record and watch later? How's the selection?

I have way too many Tunes on DVD to consider recording them, but if I happen to spot them on Boomerang,I definitely give them a look. You're right, most of the cartoons shown are post 1948,though sometimes a few from the earlier era do appear ( Just saw Yankee Doodle Daffy the other day).At least they feature most of the Looney Tunes characters, as opposed to their ''Tom and Jerry'' programming, which I wish would include Droopy and other MGM cartoons.

I haven't watched CN for a very long time. But years ago I used to watch Looney Tunes in the mornings and they were usually mid 50s and 60s.
It was seldom that they showed one from the 40s, and they mostly showed RR cartoons. Just as you said. Even in the second hour.
I just checked the CN schedule, and I'm only finding New Looney Tunes which I have not seen.

I think the problem for them is that a lot of the shorts from that period (1940's) are, probably, quite politically incorrect these days. They'd either have to edit them (as they did some shorts) or not show them at all. I think that's a shame, as it denies history. I'm very much opposed to Tuner suppressing the "censored 11" and want them released, uncensored, as a DVD/Blu-Ray collection, if nothing else.

I have enough of the originals on sources prior to the "editing/censoring" that I don't have to worry either, so I don't watch CN.

I hardly ever watch Cartoon Network anymore, except for some ''Adult Swim'' programs.I think the network itself is trying to cater to the Disney Channel/Nickelodeon audience, who probably would not be interested in 70 year old cartoons.
