You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

I didn't actually see "Inch High Private Eye" until long after its network run. But when I did see the little guy, I thought, "Wow, he solves crimes as easily as anyone else." Too bad Mr. Finkerton never saw it that way.

I never actually understood why Inch was tiny while his niece Laurie was normal sized. Maybe it was a genetic defect. Or perhaps he was permanently shrunk, just like Tom of T.H.U.M.B and Swinging Jack. Regardless of that, I was only slightly impressed with the detective's skills. And the recurring villain Spumoni left me thinking, "Who'd name a bad guy after an Italian dessert?" Still, I liked hearing him speak in a Maxwell Smart voice supplied by Lennie Weinrib. But it really should have been done by Don Adams himself.

I also noticed that during the show's time on the air, Hanna-Barbera also produced PSA's starring Inch and company as well as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids, and the Addams Family. The three with Inch were about smoking, good nutrition, and putting out campfires. Naturally, the third one also featured Smokey The Bear.

So, on my H-B scale, I give this show nine stars instead of ten. Proof that a little detective goes a long way.

I recall Inch High Private Eye on CN's weekend Mystery Incorporated block. I recall it being one of the shows that fought for the third spot. The fact that i had only been watching 13 episodes in repeats for all those years to me is a little shocking to my now older mind. However admittedly my primary memories of the show was Inch and the dog, specific episodes didn't stick in my mind.

When it came time for the DVD, i was ready to dip back in with Inch. Once again not disappointed. Inch's bungling is funny and his supporting cast is again a good balance. The mix of crimes in this one was pretty good and i like a lot of the gags involving inch's size. The mini office on the desk is a brilliant touch as well. Not the best show, but one that without a doubt gets the entertainment job done.

I was also a little surprised this show indeed had a recurring bad guy, and with a weird name to boot. I'm glad Inch foiled the bad guys, or well at least tried too. I'm happy to be able to relive some fun with good ole Inch High Private Eye.

One of the Dynomutt comic books I had as a child had a "Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera" article about detectives in Hanna-Barbera cartoons, "hosted" by Snooper and Blabber. This article said that Inch High Private Eye used a special formula to shrink himself, and that this formula had a habit of wearing off at the worst possible times. But I never saw this happen in the cartoon.
