    Other Side Of Maleficent

    I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Koala Bear Full Length Movie

    I saw this amazing cartoon in the Late 60's. It could've been created before then though maybe late 50's possibly. It had an extremely long Title. Something similar to or likened to "The Incredibly Amazing Adventures of...whatever his name was...(that isn't the real title). The name of the Koala Bear was very unusual, 4 maybe 5 syllables. Maybe a first & last name??? This cartoon has a moral to it. Sort of a coming of age kinda theme to it. I remember he does some time in a prison cell for some reason. You can see a calendar stuck to the outside of his cell and the wind blowing off pages of months indicating the passage of time...I believe this was Chinese or Japanese animation. Very well done. Probably an hour to an hour and a half long.

    -little panda comes too close to town and is trapped and sold to the circus.
    -While he's in the circus he meets a girl panda, an elephant, a tiger, a monkey, and a skunk
    -He climbs a mountain waterfall ,faces off against a much larger bear with the help from his friends and learns how to be brave

    No, that's not the cartoon I was looking for. After doing a little more research, I am thinking this was probably a Japanese Anime cartoon. It may have been kinda dark, definitely more serious and thought provoking. It might have been a Panda bear but not animated in a cartoonish sorta way I think might be the best way to describe it, more human characteristics and mannerisms. But hey, thank you for your time & input...
