You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. But long before that, there were many small steps for toons, and giant leaps for toonkind. Examples:

Bugs Bunny is seen dangling from a crescent moon in two shorts, shouting "Get me outta here!"

The Good Little Scouts, The Jetsons, 1962. George, Elroy, Arthur Spacely, and other Space Scouts go to the moon.

The Case Of The Moon Giant, Courageous Cat And Minute Mouse. Professor Von Noodle Stroodle sends Courageous and Minute to the moon in his rocket. There, the moon people, all shaped like crescent moons, send out the moon giant(the only human inhabitant), to send them back to Earth.

Boo Moon. Essentially a remake of the 1939 Fleischer film Gulliver's Travels. Casper flies to the moon, and is captured by the tiny moon people, and brought before King Luna. He ends up saving them all from the Tree Men.

Destination Moon. Tin Tin, Snowy, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, and the Thompson Twins head for the moon, all the while keeping an eye out for a spy.

Moon Rendezvous, Samson And Goliath, 1967. It's Samson And Goliath vs. Kunev Khan and the Moon Leader.

Felix and Poindexter had encounters with Master Cylinder on both the moon and Mars.

Were there cartoons on Garfield and Friends where Garfield or Orson went to the moon?

That is Haredevil Hare. A great short. But I don't remember the other one.

Wallace and Grommet goes to the moon in A Grand Day Out. Everyone knows the moon's made of cheese.

And Gumby went to the moon in Moon Trip.

The other one was "His Hare-Raising Tale," in which Bugs recounted his animated adventures to his nephew.

Wasn't there another Bugs Bunny one? Y'know, directed by Chuck Jones? The rabbit refuses to leave the rocket, so this mechanical arm dangles a carrot past him. "Here, Bunny. Get the carrot. Get the carrot." And like a dog, Bugs follows it outside the rocket. Bugs encounters Marvin the Martian, and hilarity ensues.

There's also Beany and Cecil's " Trip to the Shmoon", which was technically the moon's moon, where they met the Shmoon Goon, yet another takeoff of Jackie Gleason.

Not quite on the moon; in fact, they're trying to avert a moon visit:

Gidney and Cloyd traveled from the moon to Earth, once they discovered that Bullwinkle Moose had (accidentally) discovered rocket fuel. The moon-men's mission is to thwart the moose from recreating the formula, so that "pesky Earthlings" won't come to the moon, and litter it up. This was the first story arc in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle by Jay Ward Productions.
