You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

    Dear Mr. Koch:

There is a "Top Cat" movie, but not in theaters. It's apparently a straight-to-video release titled "Top Cat: The Movie" (duh!),
and I saw a copy at Wal-Mart last month for about $10. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm not holding out much hope for it; though
it was licensed by Hanna-Barbera (or, more likely, Warner Bros.), it seems to have been animated in Spain or Mexico (most of
the names on the DVD credits are Hispanic), and the releasing studio is one I never heard of. In addition, none of the original voice
actors are involved (mostly because they've passed away, such as Arnold Stang, Maurice Gosfield, and Allen Jenkins), and those who
ARE involved include Rob Schneider (yuck!) and Danny Trejo (WHO?).

Find a copy of Warner's "Top Cat: The Complete Series" DVD release instead (if you don't already have one); I guarantee it's much
    more to your liking.

    Thank you.

    Robert:

    Thanks for the info!

You are correct in your suspicions- Don Gato y Su Pandilla was produced in Mexico and Argentina.... and rates very low on BCDB.

Not nearly as good as the original show Top Cat

Also, while I appreciate your response, I do want to point out that while it looks like I wrote this post, I actually just copied it over from the old site! The whole point is to continue the conversation- which you did! Thank you!

I'm sick of live action remakes of classic characters. IMHO, they almost never do it right.

I may be mistaken (I have not seen it), but I was under the impression this was animated, not live-action CGI...

Please correct me if I am mistaken....

It's actually half and half, I heard. The characters are traditional 2-D, and the backgrounds are CGI. Sorry, I was just confused by the title of this thread.

Every single one of H-B's characters were successful in animation, but colossal failures in live action. I regret seeing the live action Flintstones movie, and refused to see the live action Scooby-Doo's.
