You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Thanks to one of the members at the GAC Forum, there is a compiled list of the first June Bugs. So I thought I'd post this for future references.

June Bugs started Friday, June 13th at 8:00 PM (eastern time). It started with the premiere of "Blooper Bunny". This short also aired Saturday and Sunday at the same time. Other than "Blooper Bunny" this is the order the cartoons went in.

Turner didn't have acess to 48 hours worth of Bugs Bunny cartoons, so after the last one on this list, Cartoon Network started from the beginning again. I only watched this the entire first round, so if there are any to add, then I would need to know.

The first time through, they showed "Crazy Cruise", unedited twice in a row. After the first round, they replaced the repeat with "Bugs Bunny Gets the Boid". Also, the first time through, they aired about 7/8 of "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery", probably to fill up time until they were to find "Duck Amuck", which came after this. The only edited cartoons were "Fresh Hare," "Tortoise Wins by a Hare," "Hare Ribbin'" "The Big Snooze", "Frigid Hare", "Ballot Box Bunny", "Bugs Bonnets", and "Southern Fried Rabbit". The cartoons were shown in this order:

I thought Horse Hare never broadcast on Cartoon Network, due to negative sterotype against Native Americans

I think the original post dates back to the early Nineties, in the days when Turner Entertainment owned much of the Warner Brothers animation library produced before 1948. Turner Entertainment founded Cartoon Network as a way to put these cartoons to work, along with cartoons from the MGM library, and much of Hanna-Barbera's older productions. Like any media giant, Turner Entertainment had the means to broadcast content to attract advertiser revenue, but hungrily needed content to broadcast. That's why Turner bought up so many studio archives: cheaply acquired bulk content to throw onto the airwaves.

Therefore, Horse Hare would have been aired while Ted Turner had sole control of Cartoon Network. It wasn't until the merger in 1994 that Warner Brothers reacquired their old cartoons from Turner. Once under Time-Warner's control, such un-PC cartoons were buried like rotten corpses.
