You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

incredibles_2.png Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed to the Disney shareholder meeting that Pixar is actively working on a sequel to their 2004 hit film The Incredibles. While very little other information was released, Iger did state the original director Brad Bird was working on the script for The Incredibles 2. Iger also mentioned the studio is in work on a second sequel to Cars, Cars 3.

The Incredibles was Brad Bird’s first film as a director at Pixar, and the second film at Pixar to win the Best Animated Feature Oscar (he would win a second Oscar for Ratatouille). He had previously directed Warner Bros.’ highly acclaimed The Iron Giant in 1999. While Bird is confirmed as working on the script, it was not stated directly that he was writing the sequel, or directing it. Bird is currently directing Disney’s live-action “Tomorrowland,” starring George Clooney, in theaters May 22, 2015.

The Incredibles 2 will be Pixar’s fourth double-take on one of their original projects, behind the Toy Story series, Cars 2, Monsters University, and Finding Dory sequels; Cars 3 will be the third in that series of films.

No word on if any of the original cast will return. Previous rumors had hinted at a summer 2015 release for an Incredibles sequel, but with Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur both set for release in 2015, that seems a unlikely; look for these– if they do enter production– no sooner than 2016, and more likely in 2017.

The chief executive for Disney made the announcement during the company’s shareholders meeting in Portland, Oregon. Iger also said that Disney plans to re-release “The Incredibles” and “Ratatouille” theatrically, upgraded to 3D.

It's official: Pixar seems to be getting more and more DreamWorks-like. Seems like they're really starting to take advantage of being the most popular animation studio in North America...

I'm taking some comfort in knowing that Brad Bird is directing this sequel. I seriously doubt a man of his caliber would helm a knock-off project; the man has too much pride in his original The Incredibles to mindlessly xerox his magnum opus. Whatever concept was pitched to him must be have been worthy by Bird's standards, so it's likely worthy by mine. :)
