You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

In The Horror of the Haunted Hairpiece it deals with a big hairball that's "haunted" an arcade. It's actually a really bad episode of what's not the best show anyway.

Through the entire thing the "suspects" and the monster are... coughing. As if they're sick or have allergies.
Why is this? I could take a guess and say that perhaps the bad restaurateur that owns the place next to the arcade (who turned out to be the culprit after all) was intended to have gotten the other characters sick with his probable poor hygiene, but that's never explored either. I could also guess that the development of the episode was unpleasant because I never saw it aired on television and there were some very apparent animation errors, so maybe they just didn't think it through, maybe they didn't have time or maybe it's just some silly running joke. Maybe they didn't really care.

I doubt anyone really has the answer to this but I have to ask. I tried to find some sort of contact information for someone who could answer this for me but Hanna-Barbera isn't really around anymore, and Joe Ruby/Ken Spears both are getting up in years and understandably aren't very social on the internet.

I know this is a ridiculous and dumb question but I just noticed it about an hour ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since then.

    You're right, it's weird!

Maybe there was some idea of the sheddings from "Big-Wig" making people cough, or the suspects were people with a cough, which was dropped while they were editing the soundtrack. It is notable that the coughing is not made a point of in the animation - it is not accented or underlined in any way, just lip-synched along with the rest of the dialogue, so it wasn't intended to be important by the time the animation was done. So they dropped the idea from the script but didn't bother to go back and re-record the dialogue.

Or else the sound editor just decided to use all the takes where the voices coughed during their dialogue, to relieve his boredom!

Actually it is animated on at least three points. When the little girl is first introduced, when they're in the nerd's garage and around the 16 minute mark right before the chase scene

I don't really understand why it had to be a hairball in the first place because it doesn't have much to do with being in an arcade. I guess it's because the culprit is wearing a wig. Someone's compensating!

I think I figured it out after a second viewing. Like you mentioned before they had the idea that the hair is making them cough, but they did it in a way that every possible suspect is coughing because maybe they didn't really decide who should be the culprit.
