B&W Mice capture cat or kitten

The closest thing I recall is the 1941 black and white Warner Brothers short "We the Animals Squeak." In which a cat named Kansas City Kitty--a fierce mouse hunter tells the tale of her life to Porky on the radio. The short is a parody of a 1930's radio program called "We the People" in which people share unusual yet true stories with the audience. The cartoon itself does have spoken dialogue though--but the scene you described is definitely from there.
Here is the entire cartoon in black and white--uncensored. (When I saw it on Nickelodeon years ago, it was a colorized version--and a sequence in which the mice carrying off cheese on their heads act like African Natives was cut out.

You're welcome--I used to see this short all the time on Nickelodeon as a child--and the part where the leader mouse taunts the cat during the kitchen scene was always my favorite part.
