You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Doris Chillcott Peyman, a Vancouver-born actress with a career in theater, radio, TV and film spanning over five decades, died peacefully at home November 19 after a battle with leukemia. She was 75.

She voiced Tamasuza #1 and Kamezasa in The Legend of the Dog Warriors: The Hakkenden, the English version of the OVA Hakkenden shin sho (1993), and Kazue in Ogre Slayer, the English dub of the direct-to-video Onikirimaru (1995). She was credited as Doris Chillcott in both animes.

Peyman was recently inducted into the British Columbia Entertainment Hall of Fame. In 1997, she was nominated for a Gemini Award -- the Canadian version of the Emmy -- for Best Performance by an Actress in a Guest Role in a Dramatic Series for her role in North of 60.

She also guested in the TV series First Wave, Millennium, Viper, The Outer Limits, Cold Squad, Monk, Da Vinci's Inquest, Century City, The Dead Zone and Alice, I Think.

She appeared in the 2001 theatrical feature film Cats & Dogs as Mrs. Calvert.

Born on December 29, 1930, Peyman shared her love of theater and literature with her many students, teaching drama and staging productions at secondary and post-secondary institutions across British Columbia's Lower Mainland. Passionate about theater, art, politics and life, she generously gave her time and energies to many local community organizations.

Doris Chillcott Peyman is survived by her husband Bruce Peyman; their children Hurrian, Orin, Orissa and Ravana (Matthews); son-in-law Simon Matthews; grandchildren Jasmine, Jeremy and Oliver; brother Gordon Chillcott; sister-in-law Jamela; nephew Sean; and many close friends, relatives and colleagues.

A memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 7 at Heritage Hall, 3102 Main Street in Vancouver, with a reception from 12:30 until 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Doctors Without Borders or the Actors' Fund of Canada.
