You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

All About That Bat.

Yes, this thread's title was inspired by the Meaghan Trainor song. But what else could I call a thread devoted to Batfink?

Hal Seeger created this crimefighting bat in 1967. I liked seeing him riding along in the Batillac instead of flying. His wings were like a shield of steel after all. Aside from the episodes with Hugo A G0-Go, I consider the ones with Daniel Boom and Brother Goose among the best in the batch. As for villainesses, my favorite female lawbreaker was Judy Jitsu. Forget Michael Douglas and Glenn Close. Karate's love for her was the first true fatal attraction.

Speaking of Karate, he may have been modeled after Kato, but I say he was no substitute for Bruce Lee.

I'm sure fans will agree that the coolest part of the series was Batfink's ability to track criminals with supersonic sonar radar, which emerged in the form of the word BEEP. Heck, it was original, what else can I say?

So Batfink remains one of many that I rate high. What do the rest of you think?

Oh, yes, from the Good Old Days. I remember the opening sequence with a villain shooting a tommy gun at Batfink. The bullets ricocheted harmlessly off his invulnerable wings to make bulletholes in a wall that spelled out "Batfink." Clearly, Batfink is a riff / homage to both the Batman franchise and to the Green Hornet + Kato universe. It's probably that combination of homage and parody that made Batfink enjoyable.
