You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

And All That I Could See, See, See....

Were Snorks at the bottom of the sea, sea, sea! LOL! Couldn't resist.

But to be honest, I actually saw less of "The Snorks" than I did of "The Smurfs." Maybe just a quick glance here and there. I did like the original opening, with a seaman reading Captain Ortega's log book, and being convinced that the good captain had seen the tiny sea dwellers, while others refused to believe it. When Hanna-Barbera dropped this intro for the second season, I considered it one of their many errors. So all things considered, I just couldn't bring myself to Snork along, and join in the Snorky celebration.

Trivia Question 18: True Or False: There has never been a Smurfs/Snorks crossover.

    "See...see...see...Tennessee Tuxedo..."

    But back to the topic...

I like the more spirited music theme and opening animation in the weekday syndicated "Snorks" series in 1988-1989.

The series ran for 4 seasons on NBC Saturday mornings plus new episodes added for the weekday run to bring the episode total to 65 half hour shows. The only other Hanna-Barbera series to create new episodes years after the original series stopped production in order to boost the series episode total for weekday airings was "The Jetsons" with the 24 original episodes made in the 1960s, 41 new episodes for the first season in weekday syndication in 1985, and 10 new episodes for the second weekday season in 1986. I think there might have been more episodes produced for "The Jetsons" if George O'Hanlon (George Jetson's voice) was in better health (O'Hanlon, Daws Butler, and Mel Blanc would all pass away not long after).

It did help that the original voice cast were all alive and still in fine vocal form to reprise the characters in new stories.

The main Snorks characters were mostly teenagers so there were a lot of identifiablity.

Cute undersea adventures and many familiar voice actors in the cast:

    Michael Bell as All-Star
    BJ Ward as Casey
    Nancy Cartwright as Daffney
    Brian Cummings as Dimmy
Frank Welker as Tooter and Occy
Barry Gordon as spoiled bratty Junior Wetworth
    Frank Nelson as Mayor Wetworth
    Joan Gerber as Mrs. Wetworth
    Clive Revill as Professor Galeo

False? I don't believe there was a crossover. Some of the voice actors did perform on both series though. (Michael Bell, Frank Welker)

Actually, the answer is true. There was never a Smurfs/Snorks crossover, in which the two communities met. But maybe there should have been.

Then it sounds like Arty's answer is correct, in that he states: "I don't believe there was a crossover." Which makes the substantive part of his response correct; the "false" answer may have been due to misreading the question. Motion for appeal.

Very well. The appeal's in effect. Another A for Arty.
