You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

And The Mourners Are All Sighing Today.

Another tragedy. Walter Becker of Steely Dan has died at age 67.

This band dominated the 1970's with the albums "Can't Buy A Thrill," "Pretzel Logic," "Katy Lied," "Aja," "Gaucho," and the "FM" soundtrack, for which they wrote the title song. The hits included "Do It Again," "Reelin' In The Years," "Rikki, Don't Lose That Number," "Bad Sneakers," "Black Friday," "The Fez," "Peg," "Deacon Blues," "FM(No Static At All)," "Josie," "Here At The Western World," "Hey Nineteen," and "Time Out Of Mind."

Over time, the band dwindled to a duo consisting of Becker partner Donald Fagen. Fagen also recorded the solo hit "IGY(What A Beautiful World)."

Eventually, the pair got back together, and even toured, which was unheard of them. I remember they came here to Boston for a concert.

RIP, Mr. Becker. We'll always reel in the years for you. :(

Steely Dan is one of my most favorite duos of all time. My most favorite songs by Steely Dan are jazz-flavored material such as "Kid Charlemagne", "Don't Take Me Alive", "Peg", "Black Cow", "Deacon Blues", "FM (No Static at All)", "Josie", "Babylon Sisters", and "Hey Nineteen". Never cared for their earliest material, including "Reeling in the Years" and "Rikki Don't Lose That Number", which are probably their most played material on the radio to this day. Plus "Don't Take Me Alive" seems to have a sound that reminds me of Miami Vice, even though the song was never featured on the TV cop drama which didn't launch until nearly a decade later the song was released.

Whenever I hear the song "Josie", first thing that comes to mind is Josie and the Pussycats, more so the comic book and not the H-B cartoon.
