Can Brak from "Space Ghost' still be taken serious after all of his 'modern' appearances?

I don't know if someone will still be able to take Brak,the cat space-pirate from 'Space Ghost' serious after the Cartoon Planet,The Brak Show and the Space Ghost Coast to Coast appearances.Which is a shame,cause I always thought that Brak has got lots of potential as a villain.What do you think?

I agree.Daffy was in fact portrayed as really mean-spirited and insane in the old Looney Tunes shorts,constantly being jealous on Bugs for how succesful he was.The most recent appearances of the character (such as Duck Dodgers and The Looney Tunes Show) portray Daffy as completely dumb.But there aren't really so many differences because the new Daffy is also pretty arrogant and rude,just like the old Daffy was.Also,I really can't say that the old Daffy was really that smart.
At Brak,things are a little different.His modern version is portrayed as the total opposite,in every-way of the original Brak : both the voice and the personality.When the character was first designed,his original main characteristics were greediness,meanness and intelligence.He was portrayed as a really ruthless,yet smart and calculated villain (especially in the old comics,where he was presented as one of the most feared villains of the galaxy).The new version,on the other hand,depicts him as a total idiotic,harmless and good-natured character.

The Space Ghost cartoons from 1966 and 1981 were usually 8 minutes in length...only enough time to present the adventure with Space Ghost, Jan, Jayce, and Blip winning the battle and not exactly having enough time for character development.

If new Space Ghost episodes were made that are an half hour long to present some character details and development, Brak could have a chance to be a more well-rounded villain.

Don't forget it was a 60's cartoon - most of the shows in that time period didn't present too much character development either.I think Brak would have had lots of potential as a villain.
If a series would ever be made,I'd like to find out how Brak really looks like with his mask off.Although,I always thought that the red surface of his face might be a helmet.I think it's a helmet since if you look at his head from behind (in the old series/comics only) ,it looks like his ears are shown in one piece (which kinda resembles a hat).

Meaning of course, original Brak was a serious version of later villianous evil Daffy. Actually Duck Dodgers was better as Daffy was a hero (like I pointed in the Joe Alaskey thread in Warner Bros., which is the parent actually of HB so the thread should be posted here as well) so I'll consider that a good role for Joe, who had a very good performance, while I thinkSpace Jam relied a little much on nasty Daffy....In early Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies, Daffy wasn't even paired with Bugs, certainly not in World War Two where both played wackier characters.
