You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Cartoon Court is now in Session!

With the death of Ruth Ginsberg, what cartoons were set in the courtroom?

It can be a series like Harvey Birdman or a cartoon short such as The Henpecked Duck featuring Daffy Duck, or even an episode such as Tiny Toons "Gang Busters".

    Any other good examples?

Offhand, there is the courtroom scene from Heavy Metal (Columbia Pictures, 1981). Captain Lincoln Sternn is on trail for premeditated murder, armed theft, piracy in space, fraud, rape ... and one moving violation. The proceedings were suspended when star witness Hanover Fiste hulked up and went on a rampage.

"Disorder In The Court," an episode of The Flintstones had Fred and Barney among those serving on a jury. They were there for the trial of The Mangler, who vowed revenge on Fred when he was found guilty. "The Victim," an episode of "Wait Till Your Father Gets Home" had Harry seeing a guy who mugged him in court. "Little Bamm-Bamm" had the Rubbles going to court for custody of Bamm-Bamm when they found out he was to be adopted by the Stonyfellers. Finally, "The Seapreme Court," had Little Audrey standing trial in a courtroom full of....fish!

EmeraldIsle, how'd you neglect The Jetsons going to court to determine rightful custody of Astro? The court awarded the dog to J. P. Gotrockets, who renamed him Tralfaz.

Right, and in Disney's Alice In Wonderland, when she was on trial, and those "iconic" words were spoken: "Off with her head!"

An obscure Canadian cartoon, The Devil And Daniel Mouse, has Daniel's girlfriend sell her soul to the Devil in exchange for fame as a chanteuse. Daniel sues the Devil to recover it, and his case goes to trial.

How stupid of me to forget "Pluto's Judgement Day," which I saw on The Mouse Factory many years ago. Poor Pluto being tried by a jury of cats.

Late reply, but there's also The Trial of Mr. Wolf. There's a great quote from there.

"It's Grandma. She has a terrific hangover....uh, I mean. She's very very ill."
