    Other Side Of Maleficent

    I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

    The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Somehow, Casey Kaem's wife took him out of the country. His current whereabouts are unknown at this time, and his safety is an area of concern. Let's hope he's found and brought back safely. :(

    According to the Los Angeles Times, Kasem suffers from advanced Parkinson's Disease, which causes people to lose control of the voluntary muscles of their bodies, robbing them of the power to walk, mouse-click and speak. There's been growing friction between Kasem's current wife Jean, and his three children from Kasem's prior marriage. If, as many suspect, this is a move by Jean to secure total control of Casey's estate, it's highly dubious that Kasem could give clear, unequivocal consent. Although, the law may be less stringent in Canada ...

    It's repulsive to me that this man, the jovial and gracious voice of America's Top 40 among other productions, is reduced to a chess pawn in a family tug-of-war.

    I heard about this on the news, and I agree that this whole thing is disgusting. I hope Mr. Kasem is found soon.

    Unfortunately, Mr. Kasem's health is still in bad shape....and Mrs. Kasem and the kids from the first marriage do not seem to get along.
