You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Czech media are reporting possible suicide in the death Monday of Karel Svoboda, composer for several animated TV series. He was 68.

Svoboda, who wrote 80 songs for Czech pop singer Karel Gott, committed suicide in the garden of his house in Jevany in central Bohemia, radio station Frekvence 1 and Web site Novinky.cz said.

Police are investigating the case and are also considering the possibility that his death was not a suicide, Novinky.cz added.

Born in Prague (Plzen, according to some sources) on December 19, 1938, he wrote the scores for about 900 films and TV series.

Svoboda had worked closely with Gott since 1968. His songs for Gott included the music for the hugely popular children's animated TV series Maya the Bee(Mitsubachi Maya no boken; 1975), a Japanese-West German co-production.

Svoboda composed TV scores for the German channel network ZDF for over 30 years, writing scores to many 1970s series that an entire generation of Europeans grew up with.

Other animated series included Chiisana Viking Vickie (Vicky the Viking; 1974), Pinocchio Yori Piccolino no Boken(The Adventures of Pinocchio; 1976) and Taotao ehonkan sekai doubutsu-banashi (Tao Tao the Panda; 1983).

He also scored the animated theatrical features Pohádka o Honzíkovi a Marence (The Tale of John and Marie; 1980), a Czechoslovak-Soviet co-production, and Dobrodruzstvi Robinsona Crusoe, Namornika z Yorku(The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, the Sailor from York; 1981), a Czechoslovak-West German project.

Svoboda wrote such hits as "Lady Carneval" for Gott, the music for the film Tri orisky pro Popelku (Three Nuts for Cinderella) and the musical Noc na Karlstejnì (The Night at Karlstejn).

He wrote dozens of successful songs, as well as much theatrical music.

Svoboda began his career as a pop composer after leaving medical studies in his third year. During the 1960s, he was a member of the Czech rock group Mefisto. Later, he composed music for the Laterna Magica theatre in Prague.

In the mid-1990s, he was awarded a diamond record for helping sell 10 million records with the Czech label Supraphon.

    Svoboda had three children.
