You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Yes, "These Are The Days" was another Hanna-Barbera production about a family from a bygone era. But it was nothing like "The Flintstones" or "The Roman Holidays." For instead of modernizing the past like those shows did, it showed life exactly as it was back in 1910. The opening sequence alone showed Model T Fords and antique fire engines alongside horse-drawn carriages and pennyfarthing bicycles. And it had dramatic plot elements just like "Devlin." In fact, I'd say the only things it didn't show were sick kids being medicated with sulfur and molasses and castor oil, and the traditional copy of the family Bible. Those would have been quite a stretch for H-B. And although one my books claims there were no funny dogs, they did have a pet pooch named Jonas. But I guess he wasn't there for comic relief.

So "These Are The Days" was definitely one of the most perfect H-B shows ever. It's another one that should be on DVD.

Trivia Question 50: In the episode "Danny's Musical Dilemma," Danny eventually revealed he was a natural when it came to playing: A. Accordion. B. Cymbals. C. Triangle. D. Saxophone.

    Answer: B.

"The Waltons" was an obvious influence in the series. "The Waltons" was created by Earl Hamner...who worked with Hanna-Barbera in writing the screenplay for "Charlotte's Web".

Great character designs and period detail in the artwork and a familiar voice cast including June Lockhart as Martha Day, Henry Jones as Grandpa Jeff Day who was something of a braggart and a rascal, Pamelyn Ferdin as Kathy Day, Andrew Parks as Ben Day, Jackie Earle Haley as Danny Day, and Frank Cady (Sam Drucker on "Green Acres") as family friend Homer. A lot more dialogue heavy than most Hanna-Barbera series, though.

Gunderson's Ice Cream parlor was a memorable hangout for the kids in the series.
