    Other Side Of Maleficent

    I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    It took a while, but we are finally here! The Big Cartoon DataBase hit the milestone of 150,000 entries earlier today with the addition of the cartoon The Polish Language. This film was added to BCDB on May 9th, 2014 at 4:23 PM.

    Funnyman Will Ferrell and partner Adam McKay are working on bringing back everyone’s favorite stone-age family. The duo’s production company Gary Sanchez Productions is in development on a new Flintstones animated feature.

    Disney To Feast In France

    The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

HB SUPER HEROES

    If I was an animation director and creator I would go back and buy the rights of HB characters and turn them into serious action heroes. For example I would completely redo Blue Falcon and Dynomutt. BF would be a hero sorta like Batman but as for Dynomutt he would be a cybernetic dog inside of the crazy antics of a mechanical dog as he was comically protrayed. Also the new series of BF & D would include brand-new original villains and the villains would have an upgrade. I would also remake Frankenstein Junior into a more action-adventure series. For example in the original series, FJ was a robot made by his human friend, Dr. Buzz Conroy. I would have Buzz Conroy have an accidental mishap in his lab and he becomes the robotic Frankenstein Junior aka Iron Man. The series would also have an upgrade on villains and with new technology. The Galaxy Trio would be next as well, they would be sorta like Marvel's Fantastic Four only different and also an upgrade on villains. Also just curious who do you think would win in a fight between The Galaxy Trio and The Fantastic Four?

    Space Ghost would be upgraded as well. I would also create original villains and upgrade the other ones too. He would be sorta like Superman but in outerspace. Birdman would also be upgraded with new style animation and storylines. He would be the Hawkman of the new series. I would then create a HB Superhero league lineup which would include Jabberjaw (by creating a new version of him making him more human rather his previous self) he would still be Jabberjaw from the original cartoon just have legs and arms and not be as tall. The Herculoids would also be in the series as well as would Mightor. All these ideas would be in new animated form think "Justice League Unlimited".

    Also I would spin-off "Scooby-Dum" as a police dog in Louisiana. Some people don't like the many Scooby-Doo characters. But I do. I also thought he was funny. I miss all of HB Cartoons. I hope one day those classic animation will see light again. And one more thing -- I know that Karate Kat is not a HB character and that belongs to Rankin-Bass Productions but I think he would be an awsome friend or villain to Hong Kong Phooey.
