Hello All... Introduction and a quick WB Music Question.

'Evening all, and Hello! I'm a long time cartoon fan that was on a couple of the old animation Usenet groups, but have been enjoying cartoons all my life. Just found this forum. Didn't see a "Introduce yourself" sub forum so I'll do it here, and ask my first question. I have all the LT DVD Collections 1-6, and the GALT LaserDisc series (including the one the one that has "Bugs Bunny N*** the N***" on it).

FTR, I'm a strong believer in preserving those cartoons that may be considered "politically incorrect" these days. They are part of the country's history and reflect the mode of the country at the time they were produced. Future generations need to know what things were like. One of my longer term wish is that Turner (I think he owns them now) will go ahead and release the "Censored 11" onto a DVD with all the notes on their origin, etc. etc. In some cases, I think it is a disservice to censor the cartoon. Take "Coal Black & the Seben Dwarves," for example. Many of the voice actors and musicians were African American at a time when many producers would not consider hiring them to do cartoon voices or play music. To me, it's a shame that their talents can't be heard because it might seem offensive to some. Put the shorts on DVD and let people decide if they wish to buy them or not.

Now, my question. I am attempting to locate a Bugs Bunny short (an older one) in which a certain music was played. For the longest time, I did not know the name of the music piece but, today, I discovered it's identity. Everyone knows that Bugs has a connection to Franz Von Suppe in re: the "Baton Bunny" short (i.e. "Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna"). The Von Suppe piece re: my question is the "Light Cavalry March Overtrure," which I sample as follows:



Fast forward to 02:29 in the above video to find the part used in the Bugs Bunny short. In this short, Bugs is acting as a train engineer in an older Steam Locomotive (with the classic "head out the window" pose, wesring the neckerchief and blowing the whistle, etc.).

Just wondering if anyone can help me identify that short.

And we have a winner! Thank you both! I should have remembered this short for a number of different reasons... The first appearance of the "orange monster" (and, no I don't want to open that "Pandora's Box" in re: its name.... ). Second, I had forgotten that the scene of my concern (train engineer) opens with the trumpet fanfare from Wagner's "Tannhauser - Entrance of the Guests..." And, although Bugs wasn't actually in a "steam locomotive," well.... close enough!
