You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Hanna-Barbera kicked off 1980 by dubbing "The Cantinflas Show" into English, and retitling it "Amigo And Friends." Unfortunately, this is another one I can't say much about since neither the Mexican nor the English versions aired on my local channels. Perhaps it aired elsewhere here in America, but I guess I'll never know. All I ever saw of it was the opening on YouTube. If anyone here was able to see it, feel free to share your thoughts.

Trivia Question 38: True Or False: "Amigo And Friends" was meant to be an educational series.

    Answer: True.

I've seen partial episodes of "Amigo" on a local Spanish language station sometime in the mid 1990s...airing on the Univision network. The 1970s Hanna-Barbera animation style was unmistakable. The dialogue was in Spanish..in which I am not too fluent in, so I didn't know what the stories were about. I believe Cantinflas was able to time travel and interacted with various historical figures in the cartoons. Cantinflas played the voice of his cartoon counterpart in its Spanish language version.

There is going to be a Cantinflas biographical motion picture to be released in August 2014, chronicling his life and career as Mexico's top comedic actor.

Cantinflas's real name was Mario Fortuno Alfonzo Moreno Reyes, usually going by Mario Moreno offstage (1911-1993). Cantinflas usually played poor, ordinary guys fighting authority figures or pompous wealthy rivals. His comedy trademark was taking an ordinary discussion with another character and completely misunderstanding and complicating the discussion to funny proportions. Charlie Chaplin even called Cantinflas the best comedian alive.

Saw the movie poster for it in my local Century Multiplex while I was going to see the latest X-Men movie last month (June 2014)... US actor Michael Imperioli of "The Sopranos" has a role as "Around The World in 80 Days" producer Mike Todd:
