If H-B Did a Line of Cartoon Shorts in 1976...

Call me crazy, but what would your thoughts be as to whether or not the boys at Hanna-Barbera (including Jabberjaw and Dynomutt, Dog Wonder's two creators, Joe Ruby and Ken Spears) ever decided to create a new round of cartoon shorts in the 1976-77 TV season based on the works of Tex Avery (those he did for WB from 1935-41 and for MGM from 1942-55), so as to build on the success of their 1975 Tom & Jerry shows? Of course, they would actually consult the funnyman himself for help.

Unlike the originals, these shorts (which would obviously have their humor be toned down to meet ACT/PTA guidelines) would use stock music and sounds from the H-B library, and like most H-B shows, would even include inside jokes (namely, references to characters from other H-B shows, or H-B personnel). One of those I could imagine H-B remaking would be 1945's Swing Shift Cinderella, only this time the Red lookalike cabaret singer would be singing the Jabberjaw main title song (rather than the "Oh, Johnny! Oh!" remake she did as "Oh, Wolfie! Oh!").
