You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The New York Anime Festival, which will take place this weekend (Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27) at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Center, will host guests of honor Yoshiyuki Tomino, whose genre-breaking series Mobile Suit Gundam premiered in 1979, and Yui Makino, the noted voice actress and singer.

Mobile Suit Gundam is noted for defining the current realistic portrayal of robots in Japanese animation. Through the past 30 years, the series has spawned numerous sequels and spin-offs. Makino is best known for the role of Princess Sakura in the Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE anime and manga franchise.

Other highlights at NYAF include an appearance by pop music group AKB48; FUNimation Entertainment's presentation of the English language premiere of the Soul Eater series, along with a cast appearance; premiere screenings of Gurren Lagann: The Movie -- Childhood's End, Cencoroll and 20th Century Boys; the Far East to East Showcase which, in association with NYAF, will take place at The Studio at Webster Hall, and will provide a night of innovative music that brings together four of the best musical artists from both the Far East and the East Coast; the World Cyber Games USA National Final, where 200 of the best gamers in America will battle it out on nine different gaming titles for one of the coveted 13 spots on TEAM USA; and a fashion boutique, where Baby, The Stars Shine Bright -- Japan's foremost Lolita fashion brand -- will have a presentation in association with Kinokuniya Bookstore.

"Anime culture is enormously popular, and we want our show to reflect the full range and diversity of anime talent and creativity at work today," said NYAF show manager Lance Fensterman.
