You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

JohnKahrs.jpg The Oscar-winning director of Disney’s Paperman- John Kahrs– has turned up across the street at Paramount for his next project. Kahrs’ Oscar last year for the Disney animated short was the studios first win in that division in the since 1969’s It’s Tough To Be A Bird. His new project will be Shedd, a feature film with no release date yet set.

The story is based on an original idea from Paramount’s Film Group president Adam Goodman, and will be written by Tripper Clancy. Goodman heads the animation division at Paramount, which spun up in 2012 as the studio faced the end of its distribution pact for DreamWorks Animation. Rango was their first partnership, and their first full film with be 2015’s SpongeBob Squarepants. The studio also has Doug TenNapel’s Monster Zoo in the works, but no date is set for that film.

Kahrs surprised many people when he abruptly left Disney, just months after his Oscar win for Paperman. He had previously worked at Pixar on such films as A Bug’s Life, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille. After moving over to Disney, he animated on Bolt, Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen and was an animation supervisor on Tangled.

Meanwhile, Toonbox announced a date for a sequel to the newly-released The Nut Job. Look for The Nut Job 2 to hit theaters on January 15, 2016. No other information about the film is available at this time.
