You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Hanna-Barbera really pulled out all the stops when they premiered "The Fonz And The Happy Days Gang." How could anyone forget the opening narration by Wolfman Jack? Or Cupcake's bumbling magic? Fonzie, Mr. Cool, Richie, Ralph, and Cupcake time-travelled to various places in the past, and once, even into the future. I was impressed for the most part.

I will, however, admit that the disguises Cupcake conjured up for herself and the guys were absurd, but I got a good laugh out of them. Sometimes I'd hear something I didn't like, but disregarded it.

My favorite episodes were those set in ancient Egypt, and 1692. I'd done extensive research on the Salem Witchcraft trials for a high school term paper three years earlier, so I was well-prepared for what I saw in the latter episode.

I also noticed that each of the male voice actors hit close to home voicing the animated likenesses of their characters from the live action show. In fact, Donny Most voiced the animated Ralph using the same sardonic tone that he did for Eric in "Dungeons And Dragons" three years later.

While there was no official conclusive episode that showed the group returning to 1957, and Cupcake leaving them for her home in the 25th century, I do believe they came back, for two years later, Fonzie and Mr. Cool joined Laverne, Shirley, and Squealy at their Army base. More about that when I post my "Laverne And Shirley In The Army" thread.

Trivia Question 35: When the gang ended up in Camelot, what did Merlin accidentally turn Richie into?

    Answer: A bird.

When "Fonz and the Happy Days Gang" premiered, Ron Howard and Donny Most had left the live-action "Happy Days" series with their characters Richie and Ralph enlisting in the Army. Howard and Most would make occasional guest appearances on later episodes of "Happy Days", and Howard returned for the series finale when Richie married longtime girl friend Lori Beth.
Because of contractual agreements, Howard and Most had to perform the voices of their characters in the cartoon series.

Didi Conn, who played Cupcake, appeared in another memorable 1950s themed production from Paramount Pictures (which made the "Happy Days" series)...playing Frenchie, one of the Pink Ladies, in the 1978 film "Grease" with John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, and Stockard Channing.

No Potsie or Joanie or Chachi or Mr. and Mrs. C...even though Tom Bosley worked for Hanna-Barbera in "Wait Till Your Father Gets Home."

Frank Welker's Mr. Cool voice was fun with a high pitched Shmoo-type giggle.

Even when confronting bad guys at historical moments, Fonzie always remained cooler than them. Fonz usually charmed the ladies of the era that "The Good Group" visited and always rescued them from danger. Fonz can also start clanking old machinery and vehicles with a hard elbow hit.

Richie usually knew his limitations and tried to reason with the bad guys but stood his ground and took a heroic stance (and calling the threatening bad guy "Bucko") when push came to shove. Ralph usually played the coward and tried to humor the villain to no avail...("Even lost in time, I still got it!"...yeah, right)

I kinda liked the idea that they were trying to return to 1957,the same year H-B's ''Ruff and Reddy'' premiered.
