    Other Side Of Maleficent

    I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

    I've seen conflicts about the exact air dates for Police Academy: The (Animated) Series.

    Some suggest the cartoon started in the fall of 1988 on Saturday mornings, lasting for two split seasons; but according to a promo slick by the series' original syndicator, LBS Communications (Warner Bros., the trademark owner of the series that was based on the seven films of the same name, has itself handled syndication for the program since), the series actually debuted in the fall of 1989, which included 65 first-run episodes plus a two-hour animated movie special.

    If the logic is correct, then the 65 first-run episodes of this series would have aired between September 4 and December 1, 1989, five times a week from Monday to Friday.

    30 of the 65 episodes are currently available on DVD through Warner Archive, although plans are in the works by them to release the remaining 35 episodes.
