    Other Side Of Maleficent

    I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

    The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

Questions About "The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour"

    I have a question as to The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour: When production of the show began in June 1975 (accounting for 15 months' total production time typical for fulfillment of an animated short or series; however, I am not sure if Hanna-Barbera's '70s 'toons did take 15 months long to make, as they had used the limited animation process rather than the frame-by-frame animation used by Warner Bros. Animation in their shorts), is it true that Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera (and also Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, the creators of the Dynomutt segment) had initially hired Bill Scott to enact as Dynomutt (considering both Bullwinkle J. Moose and Dynomutt sounded alike) before settling on Frank Welker (who had already been doing the voice of Scooby-Doo's Fred Jones since the first-ever Scooby incarnation, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?, from 1969)? And also, for the role of Radley Crown/Blue Falcon, did they initially choose to have Bill Woodson voice this role (before Gary Owens got it once and for all)?

    Also, were Mel Blanc and Stan Freberg initially considered in voicing Dynomutt as well?
