Series that DON"T revolve around the "Big 2"

OK, here's the idea. Since we know that DC is *trying* to branch away from Superman and Batman, or an amalgamation of the two (like Justice League), which characters do you think could possibly see the light of day in their own series? Green Lantern is supposed to show up in the not too distant future, but aside from him? I honestly don't know if there is another string candidate in the DC universe for a series- at least, not strong enough on their own anyway. We could see WB go in the direction of another team oriented show, ala Justice League, JLU, or Teen Titans.

Looking back at the DC heroes series that have come and gone, we see it's almost exclusively Batman or Superman. Even the team shows were heavy with those two or somehow evolved from or featured characters with very strongs ties to those two. In what I'll call the modern era (post 1989, when the first Tim Burton "Batman" came out), the series that I remember are:

Batman: TAS (and it's various title changing seasons)
Superman: TAS
Batman/Superman
Batman Beyond
Teen Titans
The Batman
Justice League
Justice League Unlimited
Static Shock
The Zeta Project
Krypto the Superdog
Legion of Super Heroes
Batman: The Brave and the Bold
Young Justice

Even from glancing at that list, it's incredibly obvious that Batman rules the roost. With the exception of 3 or 4 series, he is either the main character or one of the main characters. In those other 3 or 4, the main character is Superman. Out of the rest, Krypto and Legion were really only for younger kids (especially Krypto); two more feature teams but even they have members of the Batman or Superman families in the main roles- Robin in Teen titans and both Robin and Superboy in Young Justice. Not to mention that The Zeta Project is a spin-off of Batman Beyond. It looks to me that really, the only outlier is in fact Static Shock. But as a caveat, closer to the end of that series, WB started to tie Static Shock into the rest of the DCUA by throwing- guess who- into more and more episodes- Batman & Robin (plus some villains like Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy) and Superman! Quite a few of the JLU also showed up eventually, notably amongst them John Stewart, the JLU GL.

Since Hal Jordan and therest of the Green Lanterns will feature in their own series starting in March, who is left, really? Even looking at teams, I couldn't give anyone a viable "series worthy" candidate. I haven't necessarily bee following the whole "52" deal that DC has gone through in the past year or so, but even just from having a general idea of those books, maybe Suicide Squad would work, specifically b/c of Harley Quinn. But that Harley is not quite the same Harley as the Harley from Batman: TAS and forward.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure what some of these series are since I haven't had cable TV for over five years. I don't read comics anymore, although if there was some place to buy them that had copies that weren't bent up by sixty people "browsing" them in a store, maybe I'd buy a couple for old times sake. I've always been a fan of the "big two", but also Green Lantern and The Flash. One character I'd love to see, in live action or animation, is Hawkman. Yeah, there was the 1970s to 1980s series Superfriends. He popped up in a couple Justice League episodes too. Hawkgirl never did much for me, to be honest, but she's okay. The quality of some DC Comics animation leaves me a bit indifferent. I could see myself not wanting to watch a series just because it looks like kiddie crap or CGI, both of which I hate. The Teen Tiatns series is an example, as is later Batman cartoons, of poor quality kiddie animation. I used to watch them when I was bored, but missing "simple" looking series like these aren't a big deal for me. Toning down a character's look to make it suitable for kids doesn't make me happy either. Case in point: Starfire of the Teen Titans. She's pretty sexy in the comics, but not in the cartoon.

Question: Where's the thread(s) for all these DC series? I'm a big Justice League fan, and I have some comments to make about that series. I might have some comments about the other series I've seen too.
