You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Did you know that Hanna-Barbera's Space Stars was originally supposed to have been a half-hour longer than it was when it premiered belatedly for NBC's 1981-82 Saturday morning lineup?

The story goes like this: these extra 30 minutes was to have contained a second new Herculoids segment (that's right: there were supposed to have been two Herculoids segments a week for a total of 22 segments), the "Space Science" vignette, and, get this... reruns of The Jetsons chopped into 8-minute segments.

Who really wanted to see these edited reruns of a show that introduced Astro to the world, and who already had a new segment of his own within the existing 60 minutes of Space Stars called Astro & the Space Mutts?

This extra half-hour was dropped because of the mid-1980 actors' strike, which also bumped off Space Stars from its inclusion in NBC's 1980-81 Saturday morning lineup to the same network's 1981-82 season Saturday morning lineup. Luckily, though, the "Space Science" bumpers were preserved for the Warner Archive Collection DVD release of this series that saw the light of day October 8, 2013.

I remember seeing an ad for the 1980 version in some trade magazine. And I'm actually glad the original "Jetsons" episodes were never pared down.

My other thought about the 11 missing Herculoids episodes would be: did they consider airing 11 of the older Herculoids episodes (from the 1967 run)?

Apparently, one of the unaired episodes was "Long Way To The Top." It's listed on TV.com, but no synopsis is given.

I purchased the "Space Stars" dvd set.

Other unseen short segments included on the dvd had "Space Magic" with one or two Space Star characters performing a magic trick that kids can do at home, a two-part "Space Mystery" that incorporated the "Space Science" topic of the day, music videos with laser light animated backgrounds and cartoony space ships and Space Star characters flying around, and a three-part "Space Code" puzzle clue segment in which the answer can be found in the "Space Star Finale" cartoon story.
