You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

For those of you who were old enough during the 1979-80 TV season, is it true the original 2-hour format of The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show, a Ruby-Spears production for ABC (Plastic Man under license from DC Comics), was formatted such as listed below?

Plastic Man - two segments per week: one running a full 1/2 hour (the starting segment, as he was meant to be the headline act), and another running 15 min (after the Rickety Rocket segment).
Fangface & Fangpuss - one 15-min segment per week
Mighty Man & Yukk - two 15-min segments per week (they closed each of the two full hours)
Rickety Rocket - one full 1/2-hour segment per week

Also, the opening credits would have had to contain assorted scenes from all four segments included on the show; the same went for the closing credits, there with the addition of having to contain stills of characters representing all four segments (when it rolls to the show's production credits). Was this aspect true for the original 1979-80 broadcast?

Starting March 8, 1980, Rickety Rocket defected from the lineup to make way for sixteen new half-hour episodes of Captain Caveman (a Hanna-Barbera cartoon spun off from Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics).

For the 1980-81 TV season (starting October 4, 1980), the show was trimmed to 30 minutes and retitled as The Plastic Man/Baby Plas Super Comedy Show. It opened up with the segment The Plastic Family, running six minutes, which dealt with mysteries surrounding all three members of the titular family. The next segment was Baby Plas, the infant son of Sr. Plas and his girlfriend-turned-wife, Penny (these adventures ran four minutes). And the last segment, which ran 15 min, consisted of traditional Plastic Man adventures featuring him, his wife Penny and good friend Hula Hula. After 3 weeks, however, repeats of the 15-min Plastic Man segments from the 1979-80 season were rerun alongside the episodes from the 1980-81 season.

    IIRC, it went thusly:

    1. Plastic Man (half-hour)
    2. Mighty Man & Yukk (10 minutes)
    3. Rickety Rocket (half-hour)
    4. Fangface & Fangpuss (10 minutes-I think)
    5. 2nd Plastic Man (10 minutes)
    6. 2nd Mighty Man & Yukk (10 minutes)
