You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

I really enjoyed watching The Price is Right growing up, and I do admit, I started viewing such show around the same time I was into Sesame Street in the 70s.

My taste for the show was the best during the 2000s, and this comes from someone like me who normally doesn't care about 21st century programming as opposed to retro game shows. This was during a time when Bob Barker was the executive producer.

Now, Mike Richards is the executive producer, and he seems to abuse his powers. In the fall of 2008, five models were terminated because the show was going in a different direction (one of them had only been back from maternity leave not that long ago). Then a model gets pregnant with twins, and when her maternity leave expired in early 2010, she got booted off, and filed a lawsuit for discrimination!

Aside from the issues, it seems as if I have other issues with The Price is Right as of recently. There's hardly any exposure of the pricing games with expensive cars, and pricing game props many knew and loved are being updated with a 21st century look, plus lack of the vintage prize cues in favor of more modern music really turns me off now.

Now, Season 42 is here, and after watching the first two episodes from that season, I gave up on the show, and don't intend to watch the show much anymore. And to make matters worse, last Friday (as I post this) had all six pricing games devoted to strictly Plinko! And even worse, CBS announced that there are going to be celebrity guest models throughout the season. Where is the variety of pricing games when you need it the most? Where are the regular models when you need them the most?

I personally think, because the show was tarnished with scandals and discrimination and other legal issues (since 1994, to be exact), plus lack of the games I really enjoy, and lack of vintage cues really turned me away from The Price is Right after September 4, 2012. I watch the show rarely now, and it's a low down shame the show is not what it used to be anymore. I'll take Wheel of Fortune any day of the week, thank you very much.
