You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Sad news for all Jeopardy fans. Alex Trebek, who became the new host of Jeopardy in 1984, and held that position for 36 years, succumbed to his cancer today. He was 80 years old.

Born in Canada, he became a U.S citizen in the 70's, and hosted several other game shows, including The Wizard Of Odds, High Rollers, and Double Dare. He took over hosting duties from former Jeopardy host Art Fleming, who, ironically, was the host mentioned in the classic Weird Al Yankovic spoof "I Lost On Jeopardy," which was released as a single shortly before Alex entered the picture.

Unfortunately, Alex began suffering from cancer during the last few years of his life. He beat it, and returned to the show, but then it came back. He spent the past few months seeking a new host to take over for him.

RIP, Mr. Trebek. May the Jeopardy legacy live on. :(

This is another sad day in the world of game shows. And after we lost two other game show legends in recent months: Regis Philbin and Tom Kennedy.

He must have been involved in recording "Jeopardy!" pretty recently, and poof - he's gone. I bet Sony is going to do a series of hosting tryouts in the coming weeks, or maybe production of the show has halted until a new host is determined. Whoever replaces Alex will have big shoes to fill.

This would not be the only game show host to die before he got to retire. Dick Clark was also in that predicament too. He showed no signs of slowing down when he last hosted "New Year's Rockin' Eve" for the 2012 celebration, which was his milestone 40th edition. He gave no mention nor hinting of retiring and out of nowhere, he died in April 2012.

Alex did two game shows for Mark Goodson Productions. He did "Double Dare" (not the Nickelodeon series) in 1976, and later "Classic Concentration" from 1987 to 1991. I like "Classic Concentration" the most.

Alex Trebek did provide voice acting in at least one cartoon series. He lent his voice to Alex Lebeck on the Season 5 premiere of "Arthur", in the episode "Arthur and the Big Riddle". He also appeared on the kids' show "Sesame Street" in 2006.

I also liked Trebek as the host of Concentration. I hope they revamp that game show.
