You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Has anyone watched the second series of Thundercats released on DVD???

I was really looking forward to it, as I remembered as a young kid that most of the time it was Series 1 being shown over and over again. However, once I did see some new Thundercats in an episode but never really watched the second series.

Anyway, I was quite looking forward to buying the second series and went out to buy the yellow box when it got reduced at HMV! [IMG]

However, when watching a few episodes, I think its actually rather poor and inconsistent with the first series which was so well executed.

The only good thing about the second series I found was:
    - they improved Mumra's defensive capability so that he was no longer afraid of his own reflection which was a bit naff in the first series as all the Thundercats had to do were to walk around with mirrors if they wanted to defeat Mumra.

    However:
    - the new Thundercats are not part of the intro sequence (which wasn't redone for the second series).
    - the new Thundercats do not have their own leitmotif - music you know is associated with that Thundercat.
    - the new Thundercats look $hite beyond $hite - the girl is ugly, the guy looks like a black and white Tigra, the blind guy is ridiculous in what he can do!
    - the new mutants are hard in the first episode and then weaker than the normal mutants thereafter.
    Inconsistencies:
    - When Lion-O broke his sword in the first series, it could only be rebuilt in star-fire. Now in the second series, one of the Thundercats used to have a job as a blacksmith and repairing the Sword of Omens is a piece of cake.
    - Defeating a pyramid sorceror should be rock hard - Lion-O found it really hard to defeat Mumra in the first series. In the second series, one of the dark mutants could simply knock out one of the four electricity blocks of Mumrana's pyramid to stop her calling forth Ancient Spirits of Goodness Gracious Me!
    - The sword of omens is a bit of a joke now and whenever there is a problem, it seems to be an all-in-one super wonder sword now, repairing all the damage that ever happened if it is called, e.g. if Mumrana's pyramid got knocked down or Cat's Lair was crumpled, no worries, give the sword a call and everything gets rebuilt!!!

I have to say, the second series really is $hite beyond $hite. [IMG]

    What does everyone else think?

    Kalten~!!!
