You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Well...Cleveland said farewell to the convention, but it wasn't insane!

But...I'm here to talk about Cartons that had had campaigns for cartoon characters. One that goes through my mind is Brain for President or "Election Daze" where Roy tries to win votes for being the least of the barnyard, but Roy resigns and has Orson lead as he did earlier.

What other cartoons had a character running for president?

Back in the year 2000, during the eleventh season of Fox's The Simpsons, Donald Trump runs for President and wins. He promptly bankrupts the country and bails.

Lex Luthor attains the White House in Superman The Animated Series. Alas, Lex discovers the same bitter lesson as Richard Nixon: you can't pardon yourself while you're in office.

And while not quite President, one Seymour Nudnik challenged George of the Jungle to an election for King of the Jungle status. Though Nudnik used his immense wealth to bribe the natives, George summoned legions of hippies (he was aiming for hippos) who swayed the election in George's favor.

I just remembered an episode of "The New Adventures Of Gilligan," in which the other castaways elected Gilligan president of the island. This was essentially a remake of an episode of the original live action show.

Also, I can think of a couple of cartoon characters who ran for President not in their cartoons, but on records:

Oh, and Underdog's arch-nemesis Simon Bar Sinister ran for United States Dictator, and won the office with just two votes: Simon's and Cad's. However, since neither Simon nor Cad Lackey were registered to vote, Simon received no valid votes, and was stripped of office.
