You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

For Cinco De Mayo, I was able to come up with nine cartoon episodes, and one movie that take place south of the border. Here they are:

    10. "Acapulco, Mexico And England," "Scooby's All -Star Laff-A-Lympics." Yes, this episode took place in two locations, but it still deserves inclusion.

    9. "Scooby Doo And The Monster Of Mexico." Scooby and the gang are up against a Chupacabra.

    8. "Alien Mummy," "Superfriends." The first episode featuring El Dorado. He and an archaeological team fall under the power of an evil alien mummy.

    7. "The Fiesta Host Is An Aztec Ghost," " Scooby-Doo." Scooby and company pursue the Ghost Of Cotezuma and his henchmonster the Stone Creature during the Fiesta.

    6. "Spirit Spooked," "The Funky Phantom." The gang's participation in the Mexican Road Race is interrupted by a run-in with the ghosts of Montezuma and the Sun God.

    5. "Bully For Atom Ant." AA helps the cowardly matador Chicken Enchilada overcome his fear of a bull.

    4. "Hang On To Your Hat, Jabber," Jabberjaw. Jabber accidentally ends up with the Power Helmet, which was stolen by the Brotherhood Of Evil. It turns out this helmet can turn thoughts into reality.

    3. "The Incredible Changing Man," Speed Buggy. Speedy and his friends encounter Jerick, who can shrink and grow at will.

    2. "Chili Today And Hot Tamale," "Josie And The Pussycats." The band is pursued by the Scorpion and his gang after a service station man puts nuclear pellets needed to power up a weather machine inside Melody's drum. And, um Melody, will you forget about the Sno-Cones?

    1. "Fred El Terrifico," "The Flintstones." On a trip to Mexico, Fred meets the beautiful Shala, unaware that she and her Uncle Rocko intend to use him in a plot to smuggle diamonds they hid inside a maraca.

Honorable Mention: "Son Of The Sun," "The New Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn." Tom becomes the Sun King of the Aztecs.

H-B's "Amigo and Friends" featured Mexico's beloved comedian Cantinflas in cartoon form, although the present day settings before Cantinflas/Amigo went back into time were not identified as Mexico.
