You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

In honor of Father's Day, I've compiled a list of the top thirty HB dads. I'll begin with honorable mentions of Mr. Britton from "The Runaways," and Adam Thornton, from "The Gathering," as these were both live action films. I did, however, include one live-action father.

    30. Birdboy's dad, "Birdman." This seafaring captain was seen only once in the episode "Birdman Meets Birdboy." Though he was presumably killed by the Barracuda, Birdboy never gave up looking for him.

    29. Governor Wetworth, "The Snorks." He was like the villain of the series, hence his place at the bottom of the list.

    28. Mayor Lumpkin, "The Trollkins."

    27. Sheriff Trollsom, "The Trollkins.'

    26. Mr. Brown, "Paddington Bear."

    25. Max's dad," Fantastic Max."

    24. Jana's father, "Jana Of The Jungle." He was only shown in the show's opening.

    23. Ed Huddles, "Where's Huddles."

    22. Officer Devlin, "Devlin." He appeared briefly in a flashback that recounted his untimely death.

    21. King Gramor, "The Galaxy Trio." In the episode, 'Gralik Of Gravitas," this royal figure was revealed to be Gravity Girl's father.

    20. Gary Gulliver's dad," The Adventures Of Gulliver." Another who appeared in just one epsiode, the pilot. He was also another that the protagonist refused to give up on.

    19. Charlie Chan, "The Amazing Chan And The Chan Clan." He had the most kids of any HB dad.

    18. Frank Frankenstone," The Flintstones Comedy Show."

    17. Weirdly Gruesome, "The Flintstones."

    16. Mr. Creeply, "Scooby's All-Star Laff A Lympics."

    15. Spike, "Tom And Jerry" cartoons.

    14. Gus Holiday, "The Roman Holidays."

    13. Professor Conroy, "Frankenstein Jr."

    12. Professor Utonium, "The Powerpuff Girls." Yes, I consider him a dad, though not a biological one.

    11. Professor Hayden, "Danger Island," Here's the only live action one to make the list.

    10. Professor Carter, "The Micro Ventures."

    9. Doggie Daddy. Officially, he was the first made for TV dad from the studio.

    8. Paw Rugg, "The Hillbilly Bears."

    7. Tie: John Butler and Gorok, "Valley Of The Dinosaurs." Though these men were as different as milk and ink, both were devoted husbands and fathers.

    6. Tie: Jor-El, "Superfriends," Cosmo Spacely, "The Jetsons," and Mr. Slate, "The Flintstones."

    5. Tie: Zandor, "The Herculoids," and George Jetson.

    4. Barney Rubble. He wasn't Bamm-Bamm's biological dad, but he loved and cared about his strong son, and that's all that matters.

    3. Race Bannon, "Jonny Quest." He wasn't revealed to be a dad until the '90's, but who cares?

    2. Fred Flintstone. He doted on Pebbles throughout her life, and later became a doting grandpa.

    1. Tie: Dr. Benton Quest, "Jonny Quest," and Papa Smurf, "The Smurfs." Both of these were concerned for the safety of their offspring, though some may say Papa Smurf wasn't a true father.

Another honorable mention is Dada Doo.

I also rate Chief Pondo from "Mighty Mightor" high.

I'd rate Doggie Daddy #1 personally. No mistaking his relationship with Augie Doggie and earning his son's respect by taking on many offbeat and slapstick-prone tasks.

Charlie Chan in the original Earl Derr Biggers' novels had twelve children. He was a widower.

You left off George Jetson. Not easy staying employed by hot-tempered Mr. Spacely in a cushy futuristic job and raising young son Elroy and teen daughter Judy and keeping on the good side of wife Jane well.

Take a closer look. I tied him with Zandor. And I guess Pac-Man counts as a dad, too.
