We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Yep, that is correct. I always loved the way her hair pins would fly out of her head when she ran off.

    Me too!
Sorry, I'm not going to make the tribute three for three, but I do have something else in mind.
"Why have you got that burglar around your neck, Mrs. Bear? That's a funny place to have a burglar? Aren't you going to hit Mr. Bear on the head for coming in at 3 'o clock in the morning with his shoes off and all tipsy?"

The only mice I know of who fit the description are Little Blabbermouse and Tuffy.

Nope not them, there's a third one you're overlooking who eventually picked up this trait in his later shorts...

You've found it. Near the end of his run, about maybe 3 shorts to the end, Sniffles went from overly cutesy to a fast and chatty talker--shorts like "The Unbearable Bear" and "Hush My Mouse" (Sniffles' very last outing) were a heck of a lot funnier than the earlier, slow moving shorts with the mouse that centered more on him rather than actually funny characters in the shorts I just mentioned.

In this short, a fox burglar is attempting to rob a house--which just so happens to belong to a police officer bear. Sniffles catches him burgling and the burglar also has to face the bear officer coming home drunk while at the same time, the bear's overbearing, rolling pin holding wife is wandering about sleepwalking. Near the end of the short, the lady bear gets clobbered awake, but officer bear ALMOST escapes punishment because the burglar is lying around her neck like a fox fur. Of course, Sniffles starts blabbing about what's really going on, forcing officer bear to put his hat on top of the kid...

Always preferred this version of Sniffles, especially liked ''Hush My Mouse'' though it helps to be a fan of old time radio programs to get some of the references. This next quote I heard a couple weeks ago, surprised I hadn't noticed it before---''When I promises a pic-a-nic,a pic-a-nic you're gonna get!'' It isn't who you may think.

Though the subject matter is a picnic, which normally points to Yogi Bear, the speech pattern points toward Popeye the Sailor Man, mainly from his days being animated by Fleischer Studios.

Exactly, from ''Pup on a Picnic'' with Tom,Jerry, and the marching ants. I like to think Hanna and Barbera (or maybe Daws Butler) remembered this cartoon when they came up with Yogi, but who knows?Back to you, emeraldisle!
