We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

OUB, you're right on all counts. It's Peppermint Patty and Marcie, all right. Good job. :). Next quote's all yours.

Sweet, that was a nice quote to aim at. :D I hope this one is nearly as worthy:

    "A cornered mouse never fights."
    "Don't you believe it!"

One of my favorites, from Tom and Jerry's "Mouse Trouble". The first line is from the "Random Mouse" book "How to Catch a Mouse", the second is from Tom, once he finds out the book isn't entirely accurate.

That is precisely where the quote comes from, Bill. Splendid memory, and very well spelled out the particulars. It harkens to the wartime adage "Don't you believe it" about Nazi super-weapons.

Cool,I knew that booming "don't you believe it" was probably a WWII reference, never knew what they were referring to.This next quote comes at the conclusion of a somewhat offbeat sequence---"Well,there actually was such a case in Venezuela!"

This was the first appearance of an animal whose biggest ambition was to be someone's pet, whether they liked it or not.

You certainly do have it,emeraldisle.Charlie had moved in with Porky Pig after telling him he was pregnant(!), only to slip up by giving Porky his name. The quote was Charlie's reply while being tossed out the door.Very subtle gag, but you could tell what they were talking about.Next one's yours.

Thanks, Bill. Today, I offer these quotes:

"Don't hurt him, boys. He's got a movie to make."

"I ain't makin' nothin' with you!"

I instantly recognize the cigar-chomping Bad Boss Pinky, voiced by the late Sorrell Booke, who is The Dragon to the Grand Duke, speaking the first line. The reply comes from Chanticleer the rooster, voiced by the late Glen Campbell, refusing to cooperate with such an unscrupulous liar that'd keep Chanticleer's old friends from meeting him. From Don Bluth's mixed medium feature Rock-A-Doodle.

Delightful. :) And since I've been playing a version of Doom that swaps out the various monsters, here's a quote when one lesser adversary bites the dust:

    "Adios, you chicken-pluckin' little stinker!"

Foghorn Leghorn escaping the weasel in "Weasel While You Work."
Also, so that's why Porky got so pissed when Charlie mentioned his name in "Little Orphan Airdale" I was too young to get the joke (and I haven't seen that short in ages) so I always wondered what Porky had against the name Charlie...

Absolutely correct, this is Foggy thinking he's given the slip to one hungry, demented weasel. Hungry to the point of "eat it first, identify it later." Well done, Glowworm. :)

That's Bugs Bunny pretending to be Swami Rabbitini, from "Bowery Bugs." Never expected Mr. Blanc to use such a deep voice.

Okay, I cheated and sniffed through the coming attractions section of IMDb. This must be Surly the purple squirrel from The Nut Job 2. How come people aren't going haywire about a purple squirrel?
