You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Right again, OUB. Good job. :). In response to your question, few people were totally nuts about the first one. No pun intended.

Honestly, I'd missed the opportunity to see The Nut Job myself. It's a point of shame for me, one I'd like do-overs on. But Fate doesn't do do-overs.

"I don't want to talk to her. She's crazy."
    "All women are crazy."

Whoops, all this time, I'd been thinking the site was down. I was hanging out in the sister site, the Big Cartoon Database, waiting for the link to the forum to turn blue, which means the hotlink is active.

Okay, one hint coming up: like Surly the squirrel, one of these characters is purple-ish. Since he normally isn't this color, the fandom went on the warpath over this and other stylistic revisions.

Well, I promised to hoist the answer if there was no response after breakfast, so ...

This is Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, conversing about females in Bugs's kitchen, from The Looney Tunes Show episode "Eligible Bachelors." The two males are discussing Lola Bunny's Stalker With A Crush tendencies. Bugs says the first line when Lola Bunny phones him and Daffy answers. Daffy's response is either a cuckoo describing sane people ... or a fact that almost every husband and boyfriend discovers. :D

It was the purple clue that threw me off.

Yeah, that was one of the changes made to Bugs Bunny by character designer Jessica Borutski that triggered a firestorm of Fan Dumb. That, and the oversize feet. Over time, the animation team moved away from purple outlines and lavender tones toward greyer outlines and neutral tones for Bugs Bunny. It was one of those series that adapted on the fly. Fortunately, Surly debuted as a grape squirrel, so purpleness is his norm.

Well, since I glorped on that quote, I'll field one from my good ol' standby:

"So far, so good. But which way to the hothouse?"
"It's usually hotter in the south. Let's head south."

So much easier. It's Josie and Melody, from the episode "A Greenthumb Is Not A Goldfinger."

Yeah, I figured you'd instantly recognize a Melody quote. :) All the other details are spot-on as well. Splendid response, Em; happy citing.

Thanks, OUB. Now for some quotes previously untapped:

"Well, I can't play outside. It's raining. Ooh, I wish it would never rain again."

"That's a bad wish, child. We need the rain for flowers and lots of things."

"I don't care. I wish it would never, never, never rain again!"

Right, Bill. You got it, so it won't rain on your parade. The other speaker is Petunia, the African American housekeeper. Good job. :). Next quote's all yours.

Thanks, Salty. Now for an easy one timed for tomorrow:

"Will twenty brontosaurus burgers be enough?"

"For Fred, yes. We can eat something else."
