The Cartoon Quote Game...

Ok, guess I'll supply the answer. It's Miguel and Hector, from the upcoming movie, "Coco," which features The Day Of The Dead, just like "The Book Of Life" did.

Well, since that last set of quotes was clearly unfair, I'll post a quote that isn't:

"Say it once, say it twice, take a chance, and roll the dice. Ride with the moon in the dead of night."

Oh, this one I almost know. It comes from the song "This Is Hallowe'en" from Tim Burton's visionary stop-motion feature The Nightmare Before Christmas. Offhand, I'd pin this line on the three witches, zooming around town on their corn-straw brooms. "This is Hallowe'en, Hallowe'en, Hallowe'en, Hallowe'en, Woooo!"

OUB, you nailed it. That quote is from the three witches, all right. Good job. . All yours now.

Wow, another Hallowe'en is coming, and many of the good quotes have been taken. Eh, I'll tap a masked villain character for a quote, and call it close enough.

"Enough of these games. Now, I destroy you."

Uh-oh, hint time. Spoken by the most dangerous man on Earth to three superheroes.

Ah, my turn to admit defeat: this is Marvel Productions' armored villain Doctor Doom, addressing Spider Man And His Amazing Friends, Firestar and Iceman. This is the only time this A-list adversary faced off against this trio.

I suspected it was him, but just didn't want to hog the game.

Foo, go ahead, hog away. Something is almost always better'n nothing. Let's try this one:

"I didn't order any pizza."

Can't find this quote anywhere, not even on Google.

Oh my, this one needs a hint. This is a Disney villain, with zero scruples, that chambers a round in his handgun as he says this. He's one of those pure menace types, that go from subtle malice to ruthless rage in an eyeblink. He speaks this line during a hostage rescue.

Ah, just found it. It's Sykes, from "Oliver And Company."

Ah, wonderful, this is verily Sykes the loan shark from Oliver & Company. He has little Jenny in his clutches, so Tito and Einstein impersonate a pizza delivery boy as a distraction. Robert Loggia put some serious menace in Sykes' speech, conveying zero heart, zero scruples and pure evil. Good citing, EmeraldIsle.

I know this is vaudeville star Elmer Fudd, ambling through a public park, while various A-list stars from Warner Brothers films sporting Perma-Stubble try to appeal to him. He waves away all of them, then sees chorus boy Bugs Bunny, and invites the rabbit to join his whistlestop act as a "partner." It turns out, that by "partner," Fudd means "butt monkey." I think the particular cartoon is Show Biz Bugs.

"Say, pinhead: why is the state of Ohio different?" Slapstick at its finest.

You got the character right, but not the short. It's actually from "What's Up, Doc?" "Show Biz Bugs" was another Bugs and Daffy cartoon. Still, good job. . You may post again. BTW, one of those A-list stars was Bing Crosby, who left us 40 years ago yesterday, hence my decision to post the quote.

Topical as ever, Em. Well, it's not Hallowe'en yet, but I can still sniff out a scary quote when needed.

Hint: the boss gal, an Army officer, and a delivery guy from an animated television series of Funny Animals.
