We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Thanks, Glowworm. And now that the holidays are officially over, how about this quote?:

"I never look back, darling. It distracts from the now."

Ah, strike up the band, I feel a song coming on.

"Times have changed / Our kids are getting worse / They won't obey their parents / They just want to fart and curse."

Hint time: if this sounds like a terrible song, don't blame me, blame Canada. It's their fault.

And therein lies the problem. I'm not as keen on Canadian cartoons as I probably should be.

Yes, Bill, this is the "Blame Canada" song belted out by Sheila Broflovski from South Park Bigger, Longer and Uncut. Produced by Americans Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who have determined that Canada can be blamed for anything, since they're too genial to fight back.

You got it, Glowworm, one of those early Warner's cartoons filled with topical references probably lost to a lot of folks today, in fact, it took me years to get some of them. Most of Cary's lines here are titles of a few of his movies.Very good, whenever you're ready!

That short is still pretty funny--even if you don't know who some of the celebrities are. To be honest, I think thanks to a lot of old cartoons, I recognize more old school stars than a lot of today's.

Thanks, Glowworm. Now for one pair of quotes that are perfectly timed:

"Now we just have to survive this blizzard."

"That's no blizzard. That's my sister."

Oh, now I get it. These lines come from Disney's Frozen, so the second line must come from Princess Anna. The first line comes from Whathisname, the muscular Gomer Pyle-like fellow that drives the sleigh pulled by one reindeer. I know the villain is Hans, also handsome and part of the palace court, but spoiled and an opportunist. Lars, maybe? Okay, wobbly head notwithstanding, Lars and Anna from Frozen, final answer.

Nice. :) And since it's stupendously cold here in the Northeast, I figure to cheer myself up with this paeon to summertime:

"We're waiting for the clock to strike three. / When it's three o'clock, we'll be free.
"Then it's adios Looniversity. / Summertime is coming, finally."
