    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Correct--"Pink Ice" was one of those odd "experimental" Pink Panther shorts in which there was quite a bit of talking. (most of the shorts were silent ones) Not only do Devereaux and Hoskins De Boors speak constantly throughout the short--so does the Pink Panther. (Although mostly to the audience, not to his foes.)
It's a curious short, and quite funny--but afterwards the Pink Panther remained silent--until 1993 rolled around...

Thanks, Glowworm. Now to go way back for one that's all but forgotten:

"Hubert? That doesn't start with S!"

Well, this clearly has to be Sesame Street, produced by the Children's Television Workshop through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. But who produced the stop motion animation that contains the quote? George Pal, of Puppetoon fame? Art Clokey, creator of the Gumby universe? Will Vinton, mastermind behind the California Raisins? Nick Park, creator/director of Creature Comforts? Any one of these animators would've been honored to submit some footage to such a ground-breaking children's show. Sorry, Emerald, but I'm florbed.

Since you're on the right track, I'll supply the answer. It's Sam the Snake and Sissy the Skunk, from a humorous short devoted to the letter S. Each character mentions something that starts with S, or introduces himself or herself by a name that begins with it. That is, until the snowman says, "I am a snowman. My name's Hubert," leading to the exasperated response.

Well, since my last quote stumped everyone, here's a set of quotes that I believe anyone can get with ease:

    "The ocean chose me."

    "It chose wrong!"

Whoops, forgot to answer this one. These'd be Moana, the chief's daughter with waterbending powers; and Maui of the wiggly tattoos and the heart-stopping body mass index. From Disney's Moana.

Nice one, Em. This one's not such a pretty picture, but somebody points that out, at least.

    "What a fantastic view!"
"Unless you're in the audience, in which case you've been staring at an elephant's behind for thirty seconds."

Hint: Though live actors appear in this work, these lines come from two genuine animated characters, who are allies or adversaries, whichever is funnier.

Yes, these are lines from Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, while riding atop an Indian elephant through the African jungle. Because Hollywood tends to misplace wildlife that way, just as they have the call of the Australian kookaburra sound off for travelers in the Amazon jungle. Poor fools are so lost, they're on the wrong continent! But, yes, Bugs and Daffy are having the hot / cold buddy picture dynamic in Looney Tunes: Back In Action.

Thanks, OUB. Now to take it up a notch with something a bit more mature:

    "Smallville? Never heard of it."

"Have you ever been to Kansas?"

Though I don't recognize the quote prima facie, I do recognize Smallville as the home of the Kent couple, who found baby Kal-El in a Kansas wheatfield. The second line surely comes from Clark Kent, a/k/a Superman. And the tinge of sniping points strongly at Lois Lane. Their most prominent animated fielding to date, aside for the early but well-crafted Fleischer Studios cartoons, is Warner Brothers Animation's Superman, The Animated Series. So, Lois and Clark, Superman TAS, final answer.

And your final answer is right, OUB. Good job. :). So up, up, and away with the next quote.
