You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Oh, didn't mean to let this one go this long; I got distracted by some artwork. This quote comes from Sinbad, Legend Of The Seven Seas. Sinbad and his pirate crew are whetting their appetites for bloodshed and conquest in preparation for boarding and raiding an armed merchant ship bound for Syracuse, Greece. Captain Sinbad has a map laid out where the pirates could find safe harbor to fritter away their spoils unbothered by lawmen. He's speaking to [blank], one of his trusted mates: a monkey-like fellow of small stature but enormous capacity to carry weapons. He functions a lot like Pockets of the Ant Hill Mob, but he's very tan, greasy and shirtless.

Sweet. :) Well, since it's close to dinner time, here's a character belly-aching about his entree not being processed fast enough:

"What is taking so long? I want my Ranger pâté."

Hint: a non-human villain beset by diminutive adversaries demands his meal, pronto, despite having a waistline that's many meals ahead of schedule.

Aha! I think I found it. It's Fat Cat, from "Chip And Dale's Rescue Rangers."

Exactly, it's Fat Cat, the arch-nemesis of Disney Television's Rescue Rangers. The particular episode is "Adventures in Squirrelsitting." Fat Cat has captured the rangers and two squirrel hostages, and has dumped them into the mechanized processor that produces canned cat food. It seems the designers never conceived of live ingredients going into the hopper, which is how the Rangers survived the Conveyor Belt-O-Doom. Good sleuthing, Em. :)

Thanks, OUB. Now for a quote that ranks among the easiest of the easy:

"How dry I am. How dry I am. Nobody knows how dry I am. And I AM dry, too! I got cotton in my mouth!"

    Excellent.

"Remember the lovely princess who was bewitched into a deep slumber? Until her prince charming came to break the spell?”

“Come on, wake up, wake up! Ya lazy good for nothin’! Come on, wake up!”

This is from Foney Fables, a 1942 Merrie Melodies short. Here, the narrator introduces the story of Sleeping Beauty. Instead of a kiss, however, the prince shakes her awake and yells at her.

Correct, this occurs after accidentally "reanimating" the Red Guy who I.R. Baboon mistakes for a body. Weasel did say to bring back a fresh one.

Thanks, Glowworm. And speaking of fresh, I don't think there are quotes fresher than these:

"Just so you know, you're never going to be my dad."

"Hmm, I think I can live with that."
