You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

    "Father."
"Nope, don't say it. No birds. You can settle for butterflies or nothing. Butterflies!"

Unfortunately, these are quotes I don't recognize.

On context alone, I'd pin these lines on Junior and his father, Sylvester. Sylvester has failed miserably to obtain a bird for his son, and Junior hides his face yet again in shame. Sylvester wants no more of that pain and defeat, so he forswears birds and focuses on less-hazardous butterflies. Clearly, it's one of the Friz Freleng cartoons, but I can't pinpoint which one without Google-cheating.

Correct. This is Junior and Sylvester from the Robert Mckimson directed short "Cat's Paw" from 1959. Mckimson was the one who did the Sylvester and Jr shorts, although Freleng did direct one short with Jr. called "Goldimouse and the Three Cats."
You are almost spot on on the quoting too. Sylvester has indeed failed to catch a bird for Jr. and instead goes after a butterfly--who then promptly beats the crap out of him. No wonder Jr. walks off with a bag on his head at the end of this short.

Dang, I may have to change my username to CloseEnufBunny. Well, thanks for the encouragement, Glowworm. Perhaps a quote that's gets quoted in-universe will help:

"Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me ..."

Found it rather quickly. It's Mike Wazowski, from "Monsters, Inc."

Yes, this is the one-eyed Mike Wazowski from Pixar's Monster's Inc. He's antagonizing Jimmy Sullivan about keeping the "contaminated" child Boo as a pet. The line gets morphed into a company play about this same scenario. Nicely done, Em. :D

Thanks, OUB. Now for another untapped quote:

Oh! I think I remember this one, though I haven't seen the film yet. Could this be Mister Incredible / Bob Parr, flummoxed that elementary mathematics has undergone a rebuild after trying to help Dash with his homework? I think he says this to Frozone / Lucius Best, who's visiting his longtime friend. From Pixar's The Incredibles 2.

Sweet. :) Do I have any other decent quotes in my rusty old head? Maybe.

"It's not just a job, it's an adventure!"
    "I hate adventure!"
    "Perfect! You're hired."

Ah, at first I was thinking about Mr. Krabs.
It's actually Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.
